Refugee Farm Radio

Agricultural extension services and electronic media play an important role in the adoption of new agricultural technologies. Extension worker is an important link between research organizations and farmers. In a context of exile, key issues such as youth, migration, agriculture and challenges such as drought and climate change, urban, rural can become together on one extension radio program. The FAO believes that a radio program can serve a number of topics and farmers needs besides raising awareness disseminating information and facilitating discussion about on behavior change topics (disease prevention or adoption of a new variety); and initiating networking between farmers.
